Hi everyone,
Today’s post is a review of the ‘VT Collagen Reedle Shot S50 Facial Boosting First Ampoule.‘
The Reedle Shot line is what really put VT Cosmetics on the map, and true to form, this product also became an instant hit as soon as it landed in Daiso stores.
It stands out from the rest of the Reedle Shot line because it’s specifically formulated with collagen.
As this is one of the most iconic lines when you think of Daiso beauty products, I wanted to share my detailed review.
I hope this is helpful for everyone who reads it!
Introducing the VT Collagen Reedle Shot S50 Facial Boosting First Ampoule
VT Cosmetics is a Korean cosmetic brand that offers a variety of skincare products based on innovative ingredients and technology.
Their Reedle Shot line, in particular, is beloved both in Korea and internationally for its ability to boost skin absorption.
Today’s product, the ‘VT Collagen Reedle Shot S50 Facial Boosting First Ampoule,’ is another one of VT Cosmetics’ star products.
Its biggest feature is its focus on ‘500Da low-molecular-weight collagen,’ designed to deliver firm, hydrated elasticity from deep within the skin.
The manufacturer describes the product as having a “moisture elasticity boosting effect.”
They also explain that the Reedle Shot technology utilizes micro-sized, mineral-derived particles to aid skin absorption.
This CICA REEDLE™ functions as a ‘Physical Derma Delivery System’ with particles 14 times thinner than a pore (15µm).
It delicately stimulates the skin to help with the absorption of active ingredients and restore the skin to its natural, healthy condition.
This is achieved through VT’s proprietary ‘VA SYSTEM’ process, where purified silica is infused with Cica ingredients to create the final CICA REEDLE™.
According to the product description, the tingling sensation one might feel is a natural phenomenon that occurs as the product absorbs and delivers nutrients to the skin.
It seems this is their way of describing the stimulating sensation you might expect from a product with “needle” in its name.
One box contains six 2ml stick pouches.

Review
Like other VT Cica products, this one doesn’t have that typical herbal scent.
Despite containing collagen, there was almost no detectable fragrance.
It has a milky white texture that feels richly moisturizing.
It’s a bit sticky and firm at first, but after applying, it absorbs beautifully without any greasiness, leaving my skin feeling firm and supple.
It really feels like it ‘hugs’ the skin as it sinks in.
Just because it had collagen, however, didn’t mean it felt overly tacky or heavy.
As expected from an S50 product, which is the mildest in the Reedle Shot line, I didn’t feel any tingling.
Interestingly, it felt even gentler than the ‘Pro Cica Reedle Shot S50’ I reviewed before; I experienced almost no sensation at all.
However, as this is a product that can potentially cause irritation, I strongly recommend that those with sensitive skin perform a patch test first.
The individual stick packaging is incredibly hygienic and convenient, making it perfect for travel.
I can especially recommend this to anyone looking to recharge their skin with collagen.
That’s all for this review.
See you next time.
Bye~!
